University of Virginia Students 3D Printed Airplane

3D Printed plane flies with speed 45 mph

3D Printing has been widely used to create small parts and toys and not very often larger objects like unmanned airplane for instance which can also fly.

Engineering students at the University of Virginia has created a 6.5-foot wingspan airplane which was assembled from 3D printed parts. The airplane have been tested 4 times and was able to achieve a cruising speed of 45mph.
